Michael Vermillion

michael vermillionMichael Vermillion is the co-founder of Brand Personal and Managing Director of the firm’s digital marketing practice.

Passionate about innovation, technology and brand, Michael has 25 years of marketing experience with firms ranging in size from small start-ups to the largest of the Fortune 500.

Appointed by Senator John Glenn to the US Naval Academy in 1979, Michael graduated in 1983 and served as a nuclear submarine officer in the Pacific. After his naval service, Michael attended the University of Chicago and graduated as a dean’s scholar with an MBA in corporate finance.

Michael resides in the New York City suburbs with his wife and two college-bound children. He is the chair of the New York City chapter of the Procter & Gamble alumni association and actively supports other non-profit organizations.

Cheryl Sylvester

A certified professional coach (Coaches Training Institute), with 20+ years of client and agency brand communications experience, Cheryl brings a unique perspective to creating authentic brands. Her approach, Your Brand Coach (yourbrandcoach.ca), is a synergy of high-level brand communications with one:one personal leadership coaching.

Her brand communications work ranges from local store marketing with McDonald’s restaurants to Roundup’s post-patent brand transformation in collaboration with Tattoo Brand Consulting (Martha Stewart, Gap), to OnGuard Safety’s rebrand that landed the Wal-Mart account. Since the early days of the internet, she’s been creating digital brands (reduceyourtillage.com, farmcentral.com) and building on-line brand presence for corporations, small businesses and national organizations, including Women Entrepreneurs of Canada. Recently, Cheryl consulted on the first national study of small businesses and brand with HP Canada, Hill & Knowlton and Ipsos-Reid.

As Co-Owner of Stanton & Sylvester – a brand communications agency with a multi-year ranking in Profit W100 largest women-owned businesses in Canada – it was her love of the brands and the brand people that co-created business success.

Cheryl resides in Toronto, Canada with her husband and ice-hockey loving children.
